I hear from readers of my blog or my lens fairly often. But this was the first time that someone sent in their laptop bag hack!
Chuck Bryan, a fellow out here in BC who teaches PC and Internet Survival courses to the 50+ crowd, found my lens and sent me a picture of his hard-core laptop bag:
This is the Commando Case for my new Acer Vista Clam. My wife (Katie) just sliced the bottom 1 inch of foam from a "Memory Foam Pillow" and it fits almost perfectly in an old 1971 era "Samsonite" case. I didn't even have to cut the corners ( although I may do that soon ) . The top part is an old school bag "recycled" as well. We took off the metal zipper parts so as not to scratch the lid.

He also told me that some of his students call laptops "Condo PC's" since they don't take up much space. Cool.
So, anyone else hacked one or more laptop bags to make the perfect bag? Want to share your pics? I'll feature them here, or, if there are enough, I'll start a flickr group.
